What is it? 

Website users should be able to quickly find what they are looking for when visiting state websites.

What do you get with the service? 

NDIT can help conduct user research to determine if your website menu is properly structured and if menu labels are intuitively named.

Website information architecture consulting may be helpful if:

• Users frequently use your website search to find things instead of navigating through the menu.
• You want to add new pages to your website but don’t have a place that it fits neatly.
• Your users often contact your team for help finding content on your website.

How do you request service? 

If your agency is interested in requesting a block of consulting time NDIT’s Self Service Portal may be used to submit a generic request with “User Experience Consulting” in the description and any other details you wish to include.

Once approved by your agency, you’ll be contacted by a member of the User Experience Design Team to verify and begin the consultation.

Billing: 

Blocks of consulting time can be requested in 4-hour blocks at a cost of $500. Any larger or project-based engagements would instead use a statement of work calculated at rate of $131.50 per hour.

What is it? 

NDIT can help agencies plan and oversee website migration to the State Website Platform (SWP).

What do you get with the service? 

Depending on the specific needs of the agency, services may include:

• Site research and website planning.
• Project management and connecting with partners to migrate content.

This is usually done in conjunction with other design efforts.

How do you request service? 

If your agency is interested in requesting this service either as part of a State Web Platform onboarding project or after, please use the NDIT’s Self Service Portal to submit an Initiative Intake Request and include language that “need assistance moving content to the new site” in the description along with other details of your new website request.

Once initial analysis begins, you’ll be contacted by a member of the User Experience Design Team to begin the analysis of the migration efforts needed for the particular project.

Billing: 

Since these are project-based engagements, each will consist of a calculated statement of work, at rate of $131.50 per hour.
