Website Governance

What is it?

NDIT has partnered with Monsido to offer ongoing, regular website quality scanning services to assist agencies with finding and monitoring potential issues on their websites. State websites should be accessible to everyone, contain quality and clear content, rank well with search engines and be free from issues such as broken links and spelling errors.

What do you get with the service?

Site owners will be provided a dashboard which, based on feature package, will provide information on their site. Site owners will also be put in contact with our partner for full support of the product and assistance with initial set up.

Base products include:

  • Web Accessibility
  • Mobile Accessibility
  • Site Inventory
  • Training and Support

How do you request service?

If your agency is interested, NDIT’s Self Service Portal may be used to submit a generic request with “Web Governance” in the description. Review the billing information in the table below to estimate the monthly rate. Please note that if your agency chooses to scan documents, they are counted towards your overall page count.

Once the request has been approved by your agency, you’ll be contacted by a member of the User Experience Design Team to verify pages/docs, evaluate, and begin the onboarding process with our partner.

Billing:

Rates are charged based on the number of pages (or pages plus docs) on the website and level of features required. These rates align with our vendor’s standard packages but are provided to the State at a discount.

Website Accessibility Issue Consulting

What is it?

It’s important to ensure that all people, including those with disabilities, can use state websites without barriers.

What do you get with the service?

NDIT can help agencies interpret scanning results and offer suggestions for how to fix issues. This is intended to be an opportunity to educate, and agencies will be encouraged to fix the issues themselves with NDIT guidance.

Web accessibility issues consulting may be helpful if:

  • You run a scan on your website or web application and do not know how to fix some of the accessibility issues reported.
  • Your vendor runs a scan of your website or web application, and you need help to understand the results.
  • You have received feedback from a user that they are unable to use your website or web application because of accessibility issues and you don’t know how to fix the problems.

How do you request service?

If your agency is interested in requesting consulting time NDIT’s Self Service Portal may be used to submit a generic request with, with “Web Accessibility Issue Consulting” in the description and any other details you wish to include.

Once approved by your agency, you’ll be contacted by a member of the User Experience Design Team to verify and begin the consultation.

What is it?

If your agency is interested in the functionality from the Web Governance service, but do not need the full extent of the monthly package, NDIT can provide a onetime content and accessibility scan.
