BISMARCK, N.D. (June 10, 2019) – North Dakota Chief Information Officer Shawn Riley will give the keynote address at the Western Region Seminar for the National Association of State Technology Directors (NASTD) in Grand Forks on Tuesday, June 11.
Riley’s presentation will emphasize the state’s efforts to harness emerging technologies and to ‘work as one’ across all levels of government to best serve citizens. Topics will include the recently passed unified cybersecurity law, SB 2110, the statewide K-20W cybersecurity education and training initiative and the importance of culture as part of Team ND’s purpose to Empower People, Improve Lives an Inspire Success.
NASTD is a member-driven organization whose purpose is to advance and promote the effective use of information technology and services to improve the operation of state government. NASTD was founded in 1978 and has been an affiliate of The Council of State Governments since 1980.
