BISMARCK, N.D. – Michael Gregg, chief information security officer, North Dakota Information Technology, has been recognized by Government Technology as a Top Doers, Dreamers, and Drivers of 2024.

The annual recognition highlights a diverse group of IT and other professionals united by one goal: making sure government serves all its residents. Gregg has been recognized for his role in the formation of the Joint Cybersecurity Operations Command Center (J-CSOC), embracing AI, and partnering with educational institutions to align curriculums with industry needs, among other reasons.

“I am incredibly thankful to have received this award. I accept this not for myself but for my team’s collective effort," states Gregg. “Not a day goes by that I am not honored to be the leader of the North Dakota cyber team.”

Government Technology’s Top 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers annual awards program has recognized more than 600 people since its inception in 2002. Recipients are chosen based on their record of using technology to solve problems, improve services to residents and transform internal operations. The 2024 winners include chief information officers, privacy officers, security chiefs, accessibility advocates and educators working at all levels of the public sector in cities, states, counties, special districts, and nonprofits across the country to usher government into the future.
