North Dakota Information Technology is comprised of roughly 800 team members: including temporary, part-time, full-time, interns, apprentices and contract employees.  NDIT has locations across all of North Dakota, to include various team members that reside in various states outside of ND.  We partner with other agencies across the state Enterprise and provide services and assistance on various levels of all things technology related.  Our Human Resources team is committed to proving a positive recruitment, hiring and onboarding experience.  We are here to support the work that our IT professionals do for all stakeholders it serves.

Apprenticeships provide a unique opportunity for structured training combined with paid on-the-job training, related to technical instruction in a highly skilled occupation. North Dakota Information Technology provides an Apprenticeship program that is designed to help people be better equipped to enter the workforce with the skills and experience necessary for future success. NDIT understands the many benefits of having an Apprenticeship program. It’s a proven solution that we’re ready and willing to partner with state of ND colleges. NDIT currently partners with one college in ND, with six up and coming new partnerships on the horizon.

Internships provide an opportunity to learn on the job while continuing education commitments. At NDIT, we understand the importance of learning while applying the skills learned.

Job Shadowing provides an opportunity to sit alongside, work onsite or view virtually what the day in the life of an IT professional looks like.  NDIT team members are ready and willing to meet those interested and provide them this opportunity. A Job shadow typically lasts around two hours and will be accommodated based on the type of position being shadowed.
