We’ll establish a process that’s simple and effective, so you can experience less downtime, set clear expectations, and have confidence that systems will recover as expected. We take a two-pronged approach:
We’ll run tests that show whether your systems and backups work the way they should, helping you understand:
- If your systems can transfer to backup locations.
- Whether your planned recovery times are realistic.
- What adjustments might be needed in your plan.
These are guided practice sessions where we’ll walk through a realistic “what if” scenario with your team. You’ll see:
- How steps in your recovery plan play out.
- Where there may be confusion or missing pieces.
- How NDIT and your agency coordinate during recovery.

To schedule a test or tabletop exercise:
- Log in to our ServiceNow portal.
- Submit a request for “disaster recovery” (testing or a tabletop exercise).
- Please aim to submit your request at least three months in advance.
